SOD- DURING THE GROWING SEASON (generally May 10 - November 1) we carry freshly cut sod at Madison Block & Stone. We use a predominantly Kentucky Bluegrass blend that is healthy, quick-rooting, and long lasting. Each roll is a thatch of grass 2' x 4 1/2' (one square yard). GRASS SEED- MADISON BLOCK & STONE also carries three blends of grass seed for almost every situation. The sun mix is for new lawns and spot seeding. The shade mix is for partly shady to mostly shady areas. The heavy traffic mix is for areas of heavy use such as play areas. For covering the seed we stock marsh hay and straw bales.

EVERY YEAR Madison Block & Stone brings in a supply of freshly cut Christmas trees. Our trees are Wisconsin grown and their caretaker has won many awards for quality trees. We carry balsam and frasier fir, white spruce, and scotch and white pine. Trees are available from the day following Thanksgiving until we sell all the stock, generally around December 15th.

NO LANDSCAPE is complete without our feathered friends. A full line of quality seed for birds (and other critters) is stocked in our store just north of Madison. The seed is available in twenty-five pound and fifty pound bags as well as by the pound. While sales are more brisk during our Wisconsin winters, we stock food for our feathered friends all year long.
